Kan’s Faves!
I have ECLECTIC tastes when it comes to entertainment. As a writer, one of my favorite authors is Terry Brooks. I LOVE HIS SHANNARA COLLECTION, been a fan of his since 8th grade. Actually I still have the letters he personally wrote to me. And to this VERY DAY, I’ve been waiting to see when he’ll turn Shannara over to the BIG SCREEN! Lord of the Rings LOOK OUT! If you haven’t gotten into Terry Brooks, and are a fantasy fiction nut, start with either the Sword of Shannara or The Elfstones of Shannara, you’ll be hooked, I guarantee it!
Other faves are Laura London, a husband & wife t team who retired from writing but I scoured the internet and trade & buy stores until I found all of their books under ‘Laura London’. I also LOVE Johanna Lindsey. I think I’ve collected EVERY SINGLE one of her books. If you’re new with JL then start with her Mallory Family Collection, most specifically ‘Tender is the Storm’. I love THAT BOOK!
A new historical romance author I’ve been into the past 3 years is Beverly Jenkins. I’m really into Beverly because I get the same feelings about her writings as I do J. Lindsey’s only, she’s an AA writer who also reflects REAL AA history in her stories.
