What’s in your literary storehouse?

A friend of mine brought this concept to my attention recently. But I didn’t literally sit down and think about my storehouse until I created a ‘writing’ schedule or monthly deadline.  After creating an excel spreadsheet of book titles, genres, summaries and status of lit projects I had been working on over the years, I discovered I had 77 of them.

Yes seventy-seven story concepts.  3 are completed book projects and 2 are half-finished.  For the rest I have outlines, main character descriptions, plot development, title and breakdowns.  This goes to show, that when you actually write goals down on PAPER, you get to truly see where you are and how far you’ve come.

So create a spreadsheet of your works or create a database. The cool thing about that is you can do queries or reports from EXCEL for genre, titles and status. It’s basically defining your organization and being disciplined. This may not work for you but it surely opened my eyes and put some steam into my engine. LOL
